You are a bastard if you go to Tyla’s concert – says Do2dtun over xenophobia concerns

You are a bastard if you go to Tyla’s concert – Do2dtun
Media personality and OAP Do2dtun has condemned plans by some Nigerians to attend South African singer Tyla's upcoming concert in Lagos, citing the renewed reports of xenophobic attacks against Nigerians living in South Africa.

Reacting to the growing controversy, Do2dtun argued that attending the concert would send the wrong message at a time when Nigerians are reportedly facing violence, discrimination and hostility in South Africa.

His remarks come amid increasing calls on social media for a boycott of Tyla's scheduled December performance in Lagos. The campaign follows reports of fresh xenophobic attacks, including claims that a Nigerian was recently killed in South Africa.

Expressing his displeasure in a post, the broadcaster wrote:

“If you stand for anything or not, good for you but if you go for that Tyla’s show then you are a bastard.”

The statement has since sparked debate online, with opinions divided between those supporting the proposed boycott as an act of solidarity and others insisting that artists should not be held responsible for the actions of individuals or political developments in their home countries.

As of the time of this report, Tyla has not publicly responded to the boycott campaign or Do2dtun's comments.
