Sean 'Diddy' Combs llaced in solitary after fight with fellow inmate

NEW JERSEY — Sean "Diddy" Combs was reportedly placed in solitary confinement following a physical altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey.

According to reports, the incident occurred earlier this week after tensions escalated between Combs and another prisoner. The disagreement allegedly began after Combs was insulted, leading to a confrontation that turned physical.

Sources familiar with the incident said the two inmates pushed and struggled with one another before prison staff intervened. One source claimed Combs "held his own" during the exchange.

Correctional officers reportedly separated the inmates, after which Combs was transferred to solitary confinement as authorities assessed the situation.

It remains unclear whether he has since been released from segregation or whether the incident could have any impact on his projected release date.

Combs, 56, has been serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted in October 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Following his sentencing, he was transferred from Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center to FCI Fort Dix.

His expected release date has changed several times during his incarceration. Initially scheduled for May 8, 2028, it was postponed in November 2025 following allegations that he violated multiple prison regulations. The projected release was later revised, with prison records last month listing Feb. 23, 2028, as his anticipated release date.

Neither the Federal Bureau of Prisons nor Combs' representatives had publicly commented on the reported altercation at the time of publication.
