The campaign accompanies the UK government's announcement that single bus fares across England, outside London, will be capped at £2 from 1 January 2027 until the end of the year, as part of efforts to ease the cost of living.
In a video released by the Prime Minister, Burnham adopted the light-hearted style that has made Bus Aunty a social media sensation, using the familiar format to introduce the policy to the public.
Standing beside a passing bus while holding his phone, Burnham reflected on criticism he had previously received over proposals to lower bus fares.

He then invited Orojuogun into the video, describing her as the ideal person to help launch the initiative.
Playing along with the skit, the content creator joked:

Burnham responded by saying the policy had been "endorsed by Bus Aunty herself," prompting Orojuogun to applaud the initiative.
"It's a fantastic idea. Thank you so much, Prime Minister."

Orojuogun's appearance in the campaign marks another milestone for the Nigerian-born influencer, whose humorous transport-themed videos have earned her a large following on TikTok and other social media platforms. Her collaboration with the British Prime Minister also highlights the growing influence of digital creators in shaping public communication and promoting government policies.
