My arrest saved me from Sam Larry’s accident - Peller

Content creator and streamer Peller has reflected on an unexpected twist of fate, revealing that his arrest may have spared him from being involved in a road accident that later affected music promoter Sam Larry.

During an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Peller disclosed that he had arranged to spend time with Sam Larry on the very day he was taken into police custody. According to him, the promoter had planned to pick him up so they could visit a friend's hotel together, but those plans were disrupted by his arrest.

Looking back on the incident, Peller said: “The day I was arrested, Sam Larry had an accident the second day. That Sam Larry’s car I was supposed to be inside because we had a conversation before that day.

”He told me he wanted us to go to one of his friend’s hotels, so he was supposed to come and pick me up that day so we could go there together. But I was at the police station and slept in the cell. If not, I would have also been involved in that same accident. Na so God use police save me”, he said.

Peller explained that what initially appeared to be an unfortunate experience has since taken on a different meaning for him. He now believes spending the night in police custody ultimately kept him from being caught up in the crash.

Sam Larry, the Nigerian music promoter who drew widespread public attention following the death of singer Mohbad, was involved in a road accident on Saturday, July 18, 2026, along the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos.
