Outrage in Netherlands after video shows police violently restraining pregnant Palestinian asylum seeker

A video showing Dutch police violently restraining a pregnant Palestinian asylum seeker at a refugee accommodation facility has sparked intense backlash both within the Netherlands and internationally.

For their part, Dutch police reportedly maintain that their forces were called to the reception center following reports of vandalism and threats involving a knife.

The woman maintains that she was forced into premature labor due to the physical confrontation and that she continued to undergo medical examinations following the delivery.
