White House taunts Maduro with “FAFO” post following arrest

The White House has taken to Instagram to send a blunt message following the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

The official account posted a striking black-and-white image of Donald Trump stepping out of a vehicle with a stern expression, dominated by the acronym “FAFO.”

The post was further captioned with the warning: “We aren’t playing.”

Breaking Down the Viral Slang

The term “FAFO” is a popular internet acronym for the slang phrase “Fuck Around and Find Out.” In a political context, it serves as an aggressive warning that those who provoke or take risks against a superior force will face severe, immediate consequences.

The term is frequently used on social media to describe moments where someone’s aggression or poor decision-making leads to a swift and painful retaliation. By using this language, the Trump administration is signalling a radical shift in diplomatic tone—trading traditional formalities for a “street-fighter” style of communication that emphasizes raw power.
