Man falls to his death from third-floor of apartment balcony in north Cyprus

A 31-year-old man, identified as Denys Romanenko, has died after falling from the balcony of his third-floor apartment in the Küçük Kaymaklı area of Lefkoşa.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 11:15 a.m. on December 26, 2025, on Halil Sermaye Street. Romanenko fell into the apartment building’s parking area from the balcony of his residence for reasons that have not yet been determined, sustaining severe injuries.

He was transported by ambulance to Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries despite all medical efforts.

Police said the exact cause of death will be determined following an autopsy. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
