Nicki Minaj praises Trump over Nigeria’s Christian persecution statement
Nicki Minaj has reacted to Donald Trump’s condemnation of Christian persecution, sharing her thoughts on X.
She posted a screenshot of Trump’s statement from Truth Social, writing:
“Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God. No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs to respect each other.
“Numerous countries around the world are facing this horror, and it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice. Thank you to The President and his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.”
Trump’s statement described Christianity as being under “an existential threat in Nigeria” and announced that Nigeria would be designated a “Country of Particular Concern” due to the systematic killings of Christians.
Minaj’s post emphasizes her support for religious freedom and her appreciation for the U.S. administration’s acknowledgment of the crisis.
