Thirty people were arrested in Limassol, Cyprus (south) on charges of illegal work, with five of them being detained for residing in the country illegally, police said on Tuesday.

The remaining 25 people were questioned and later released. The manager of the company which appears to have employed them was charged in writing.

The arrests were the result of a joint operation of police with the Aliens and Immigration services on Monday afternoon.
