Two women arrested in south Cyprus for fraud exceeding €150,000
The police in south Cyprus arrested a 53-year-old woman on Wednesday evening, in connection with four cases of fraud and embezzlement of over €150,000 in total, being investigated by Limassol police.
This was the second person to be arrested. Earlier on Wednesday, at around noon, a 44-year-old woman was arrested.
According to the police, between October 2023 and May 2025, the two women allegedly extorted the money from members of the public under false pretenses.
The victims reported that they had been promised help to receive compensation for and sell their property in the north.
