Shop owner in north Cyprus assaults customer: Customer suffers spinal fracture

A 47-year-old shop owner in Girne has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a customer during an argument over a product return, leaving the customer with a spinal fracture.

According to information from the Police Press Office, the incident occurred around 12:00 p.m. yesterday at a business in Girne. During a dispute over returning items, the shop owner, identified as E.D. (47), allegedly grabbed his customer, S.D.K.V. (40), by the shoulders, pushed her to the ground, and assaulted her. The woman reportedly sustained a fracture to her spine as a result.

Police confirmed that the suspect has been taken into custody and that the investigation into the case is ongoing.
