Two men defraud victim using fake real estate documents in north Cyprus

Two men have been arrested in İskele after allegedly posing as real estate agents and defrauding a victim using forged documents.

According to information from the Police Press Office, the incident occurred on 8 August 2025. The suspects, identified as N.I. (26) and O.D. (30), introduced themselves as real estate agents and falsely claimed to have rented out a shop in İskele.

Police said the pair prepared a forged rental document, had the victim sign it, and fraudulently obtained £2,000 Sterling from him.

Following a complaint, police launched an investigation and identified the suspects, who were subsequently arrested.

Authorities confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
