Road rage incident in Lefkoşa, north Cyprus ends in arrest

Lefkoşa – A traffic dispute on Atatürk Avenue escalated into a physical altercation on Wednesday, resulting in the arrest of a 31-year-old woman.

According to the Police Press Office, the incident occurred at around 5:00 p.m. on 13 August 2025, when the road narrowed to a single lane, leading to an argument between two drivers. Police say S.İ. (31, female) deliberately drove her vehicle into the left front side of a car driven by F.S.K. (49, female).

After the collision, S.İ. allegedly exited her vehicle, punched the right front window of the other driver’s car, and shouted aggressively, causing public disturbance.

The suspect was taken into custody, and police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
