Red weather alert issued for Thursday as temperatures in Cyprus hit 45 for the seonday running, almost 30 tonight
The Cyprus Met Office has issued another red level warning on extreme temperatures, as the maximum inland is expected to reach a sizzling 45 on Thursday.
It warning will be in place from 11am in the morning through to five in the afternoon, with all outdoor work suspended during this time.
A yellow warning has also been issued for tonight and will be place from 10 pm until 9 am on Thuesay August 14, with temperatures reaching 28 Celsius inland and 26 in coastal regions.
The latest scorcher will persist at least until the weekend and further warnings should be expected tomorrow and Friday.
