Passenger hanging out of moving car in north Cyprus faces legal action

A passenger was reported to police after being filmed dangerously leaning out of a moving vehicle in Girne. 

The incident, which occurred on Ziya Rızkı Street, quickly spread on social media, prompting police intervention.

According to the Police Press Office, officers from the Girne Traffic Department identified the individual after the footage was shared online. The person was formally reported for a traffic violation, and legal proceedings have been initiated.

Authorities stressed that such actions pose a serious risk to both passengers and other road users. The police reiterated their call for drivers and passengers to adhere strictly to traffic rules to ensure public safety.
