North Cyprus government urges residence to reduce water use due to supply disruption related to power cut

The north Cyprus Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources has called on the public to use water carefully and sparingly, following disruptions to the country’s water production and distribution systems caused by a fault in electricity transmission lines.

In a statement issued Friday, the ministry confirmed that the power outage had affected water production facilities and distribution systems, leading to temporary interruptions and reduced water pressure across the country.

The ministry said repair work on the electrical fault was progressing rapidly, with efforts underway to restore systems to full capacity. It added that relevant departments were working in coordination to resolve the temporary disruption in water supply as quickly as possible.
