KIB-TEK updates deposit, fixed, and service fees based on new minimum wage, electricity costs remain unchanged

Lefkosia, Cyprus (August 1, 2025) — The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has announced an update to its deposit fees, fixed charges, and service fees in accordance with the recently revised minimum wage.

According to the announcement, the adjustments apply to various tariff categories and are calculated based on the new minimum wage. However, KIB-TEK clarified that no changes have been made to electricity consumption tariffs at this time.

The updated fees will come into effect starting August 1, 2025.

The authority did not provide specific figures in the statement, but noted that the adjustments aim to align service-related charges with current economic standards. Customers are encouraged to review the new fees and contact KIB-TEK for further information if needed.

For now, electricity usage costs remain unchanged, offering some relief amid broader economic adjustments.
