Yellow weather warning issued for Monday as Cyprus braces for “oven-like” temperatures

The Cyprus Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for high temperatures on Monday July 7 as Cyprus is set to turn into an “oven” tomorrow, with temperatures reaching 41 degrees Celsius. 

The yellow warning for extreme heat will be in effect from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM tomorrow. 

“The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 41 degrees Celsius in inland areas and about 32 degrees Celsius in the higher mountainous regions.”

The Meteorological Department also stated in a post that “high temperatures have well and truly returned, and with them, warnings for extremely high temperatures.”
