Two in detention in Güzelyurt for theft and fraudulent use of stolen bank card

Two individuals have been arrested in Güzelyurt for allegedly stealing a lost bank card and making unauthorized purchases at multiple businesses.

The incident began around 6:00 PM yesterday (Wednesday July 2) when a bank card was accidentally dropped in front of a market in Güzelyurt. Unidentified individuals picked up the card and stole it.

The stolen card was then used at four different establishments in Güzelyurt, where purchases totaling 1,916 Turkish lira were made.

Following an investigation, police identified and apprehended two suspects, A.H. (20) and H.H. (19), in connection with the incident. 

The investigation is ongoing.
