Demirhan, July 17, 2025 — A woman accused of shoplifting cosmetics worth 3,861 Turkish Lira from a supermarket in Demirhan has been granted bail under strict conditions by a Lefkoşa court.
The suspect, identified as TM, was arrested on charges of theft following an incident that occurred on July 14, 2025, at Erülkü Supermarket.
The police stated that TM allegedly took various cosmetic products without paying for them and exited the store while posing as a customer.
The police received information about the incident on July 16, and after reviewing surveillance footage, TM was apprehended the same day. According to the police, the suspect provided a voluntary statement in which she confessed to the offense.
During a search of her residence in Lefkoşa, authorities reportedly recovered stolen items including a Venus brand women's razor, Morfose hair serum, and L’Oréal Paris sunscreen, all identified as property of Erülkü Supermarket.
