Cyprus – July 20, 2025 — The North Cyprus Meteorology Department has issued a warning for extreme heat, forecasting that temperatures in inland regions could reach as high as 44°C in the coming days.
According to the weekly weather report covering July 22–28, the region will remain under the influence of a low-pressure system accompanied by hot and relatively humid air masses throughout the period.
Tuesday morning is expected to begin with patchy fog in some areas, followed by clear to partly cloudy conditions. Similar weather is anticipated on Wednesday, with the remainder of the week forecasted to remain mostly clear and sunny.
On July 27 and 28, conditions will continue to be mostly clear to partly cloudy. The highest temperature will be between 41°C to 44°C inland and between 34°C to 37°C in coastal areas.
Winds will generally blow from the south and west at moderate strength, with occasional strong gusts expected on Wednesday.
Authorities advise the public to take precautions against the heat, particularly vulnerable populations such as the elderly, children, and those with health conditions.
