TRNC government cancels deportation orders for 12 individuals, declares one as ‘banned immigrant’
Lefkosia – The TRNC Council of Ministers has officially revoked deportation orders for 12 individuals, as announced in the most recent edition of the Official Gazette.
In a separate decision, one individual has been declared a “prohibited immigrant” due to alleged involvement in terrorist activities.
The following individuals have had their deportation orders lifted by the Council:
Gökhan Bitik
Assen Miladinov Andonov
Shenol Myumyun Adem
Ömer Sürek
Müslüm Taşdemir
Kemal Saparov
Bülent Polat
Soner Avşar
Umur Köylü
Burak Can Alhan
Mustafa Kılıç
Mehmet Göğsüaçık
Simge Bekci
The decision to lift these orders means the individuals listed are no longer subject to removal from the country and may continue to reside within the jurisdiction of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
In a separate ruling, the Council of Ministers declared Yakup Vadili a "yasaklı göçmen" (prohibited immigrant). Vadili is currently wanted by the Government of the Republic of Turkey on charges of membership in an armed terrorist organization.
The designation as a prohibited immigrant typically bars the individual from entering or remaining in the TRNC and may trigger future deportation or extradition proceedings, depending on bilateral agreements and legal proceedings.
The Council's latest actions reflect a tightening of security and immigration controls, while also providing relief to individuals previously under deportation orders.
