Student arrested for submitting fake medical report to skip class

A 21-year-old university student has been arrested in Güzelyurt after allegedly altering the date on a previously issued medical report to avoid attending class, according to a police statement released on Tuesday.

The student, identified by the initials H.A.G.N., is accused of modifying the date on an existing sick note to create a forged document, which was then submitted to the university as an excuse for absence.

Police confirmed the forgery was detected during routine checks and that the student was taken into custody shortly thereafter. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
