Man found semi-conscious in Gülseren area in north Cyprus

Gazimağusa, 9 June 2025 — A 33-year-old man identified as Destanhoja Abdurrahmanov is currently receiving intensive medical care after being discovered in a semi-conscious state in the Gülseren region of Gazimağusa. 

He has since been diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage.

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the incident occurred on 8 June 2025 at approximately 6:45 p.m., when concerned citizens found Abdurrahmanov lying semi-conscious on a plot of land in the Gülseren area and immediately notified emergency services.

Medical personnel arrived on the scene promptly and transported Abdurrahmanov to Gazimağusa State Hospital. Following initial emergency treatment, he was transferred to Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital for further examination. 

Tests confirmed that he had suffered a brain hemorrhage, and he was subsequently admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. No further details have been released at this stage. 

Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing inquiry.
