Iran hangs three men for spying for Israel’s spy agency

On Wednesday, Iran executed three men who were found guilty of working with Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency and smuggling equipment used in an assassination, according to the judiciary’s Mizan news agency.

The smuggled equipment was reportedly involved in the killing of an unidentified individual, though Mizan did not provide further details.

Iran has been engaged in a decades-long covert conflict with Israel, which has recently escalated into open hostilities. Over the years, the country has executed numerous people convicted of ties to Mossad and aiding its operations within Iran.

These operations have included assassinations of nuclear scientists and acts of sabotage aimed at disrupting Iran’s nuclear program.
