Illegal taxi caught in Lefkoşa fined 130,000 TL

An illegal taxi operating in the Terminal area of Lefkoşa was caught in the act and handed a hefty fine. 

Authorities confirmed that the vehicle, bearing license plate MU 561, was engaged in unauthorized taxi services during the afternoon hours.

Police units intervened on the spot, issuing the driver an administrative fine of 130,000 TL along with 70 penalty points.

The incident highlights ongoing enforcement efforts against unlicensed transportation services in the region.
