Cops on duty caught in viral sex video in patrol car in broad daylight in Cyprus

While tension brew in the middle east as Israel and Iran are busy exchanging missiles, police officers in Cyprus are taking a break to engage in sexual intercourse, with patrol cars included.

Two police officers in Cyprus have been suspended after a video emerged showing them engaging in sexual activity in a patrol car during daylight hours, in a rural area near Larnaca.

The video, reportedly recorded by a resident using a mobile phone, quickly went viral on social media and has sparked significant public backlash, with critics highlighting the incident’s timing—amid heightened regional tensions in the Middle East, where Cyprus police and officials are on high alert.

The footage appears to show a male and female officer involved in an intimate act in an open area between Dromolaxia and Aradippou, with their marked patrol vehicle parked nearby. From the video, it is evident that the incident occurred in broad daylight and within public view.

Cyprus Police have confirmed the video’s authenticity and stated that both officers have been placed on administrative leave pending criminal and disciplinary investigations. One of the officers was reportedly off duty at the time, while the other was not.

In an official statement, police headquarters said the actions depicted are “unacceptable and insult the work of the thousands of our members who serve with professionalism and dedication.”

Authorities are also attempting to determine the identity of the person who filmed and circulated the video. According to reports, investigators are looking into whether the recording and its public dissemination may have violated personal data laws.

Police spokesperson Kyriaki Lambrianidou urged the public to show some restraint and sensitivity, especially considering the video’s widespread circulation and potential impact on families and children. She emphasized that the footage could have been submitted directly to police rather than shared publicly.

The Directorate of Professional Standards and Inspection is handling the internal investigation. Possible charges for the officers could include neglect of duty and committing an indecent act in public.

The incident has drawn criticism and ridicule on social media, particularly as it coincides with the Justice Ministry and police being heavily engaged in monitoring developments in the Middle East.
