Nine Nigerians declared banned immigrants by north Cyprus government
Lefkosia – The north Cyprus Council of Ministers has officially declared nine individuals as “prohibited immigrants” based on various justifications and security assessments, according to a decision published in the Official Gazette.
The decision was made under Article 6(1)(g) of Chapter 105 of the Aliens and Immigration Law, which allows the government to deem individuals as prohibited immigrants if their presence is considered a potential threat to public order, administrative structure, general morality, or if they are believed to be inciting hostility among the people or against the state, or plotting against the authority and power of the State.
According to the publication, the individuals have been assessed to pose such risks and have therefore been added to the list of prohibited immigrants.
The names and birth dates of the individuals who are all Nigerians are as follows:
