Illegal migrant arrested for driving stolen car in Cyprus
A foreign national was arrested in in Kokkinotrimithia, south Cyprus on Monday for driving a stolen car, after he was stopped for a routine check.
Greek Cypriot police said the 33-year-old driver was driving without a driving licence or insurance coverage, the road tax had expired and the car had not passed its MOT.
The police found the car had been reported stolen on May 15 and the 33-year-old was subsequently arrested.
It was furthermore determined that the driver was residing in Cyprus illegally.
Police investigations are ongoing.
