Food delivery rider dead after three-vehicle collision in Limassol Cyprus
A motorcycle rider working as a food delivery driver died in a traffic collision on a main road in Limassol Cyprus on Friday evening.
According to preliminary information, under circumstances being investigated, one vehicle was exiting a side street onto Makariou Avenue heading westbound when it collided with another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction. The second vehicle then struck the motorcycle being operated by the delivery rider who was also travelling westward.
An ambulance was dispatched to transport the injured motorcyclist to hospital, while members of the Limassol traffic police arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
Reports indicate the accident occurred in front of dozens of witnesses in the busy central area.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision and whether any traffic violations contributed to the incident.
