Fifty people residing illegally in south Cyprus were arrested on Sunday, in the framework of an island-wide coordinated operation carried out by the immigration service.
The police said those arrested would be repatriated, with some having already been sent home on Sunday.
Since the beginning of the year, a total of 5,110 people residing illegally in Cyprus have been located and repatriated.
During the same period last year, 4,430 illegal immigrants had been deported.
