3.1 Magnitude earthquake strikes South Cyprus
Nicosia, Cyprus: A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck South Nicosia in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to data published by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
The tremor occurred at 04:55 a.m., with its epicenter located in southern Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus. AFAD reported that the quake originated at a depth of 52.97 kilometers beneath the surface.
There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation.
