Driver fined over 30,000 Turkish Lira, banned from traffic for dangerous driving

A driver who was driving dangerously in the Sınırüstü area of the Ercan-İskele main road was fined over 30,000 Turkish Lira and penalty points and the vehicle also banned from traffic.

After images of the driver overtaking in a dangerous area and driving recklessly in the Sınırüstü area of the Ercan-İskele main road appeared on social media, the İskele Police Department's traffic teams took action.

According to information from the Police Press Office, the driver, who endangered traffic safety by overtaking in a hazardous zone, was identified by traffic teams from the İskele Police Department. 

The driver was fined a total of 34,775.20 TL and received 65 penalty points for the traffic violations committed; the vehicle was also banned from traffic.
