Moldovan woman working at a nightclub in north Cyprus reportedly commits suicide

A woman working at a night club in north Cyprus was found dead on Monday.

According police press office, the woman identified as Anastasia Melega, 25, a Moldovan national was found dead in a room at a nightclub operating in Alayköy at around 10:00 pm on Monday March 3.

The deceased worked as a receptionist at the nightclub.

Police investigation determined that Melega committed suicide.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Reacting to the incident, opposition member of Parliament, Doğuş Derya in a speech at the Parliament on Tuesday called for the night club to be closed.
