Woman arrested for entering north Cyprus with a fake permit
An individual was arrested by Turkish Cypriot police after he tried to enter north Cyprus via Ercan Airport using a fake document.
Police said the suspect named as G.K., 32 was arrested at Ercan Airport on Friday February 7 after she presented a forged pre-authorization document to an officer on-duty while entering the TRNC, despite knowing it was fake.
The document had been sent to her via the IMO internet application by one R.G.B. (M-38) in January 2025 to facilitate her entry into the country.
According to information provided by the police, as part of the ongoing investigation, the individuals in question and one D.S. (M-21), who was found to be connected to the matter, have been arrested.
The investigation is ongoing.
