Three individuals arrested for stealing drinks worth over 79,000 TL from several markets in north Cyprus
Three individuals were arrested in north Cyprus for stealing alcoholic drinks worth almost 80,000 Turkish Lira from several markets.
According to police report on the matter, the suspects identified only as A.Ö. (43), E.D. (19), and Y.A. (18), who are all Turkish national stole drinks worth a total of 79,187.39 TL from two markets operating in Lefkoşa and Demirhan between February 20-21, 2025.
Following the report of the incident to the police, an investigation led to their identification and arrest.
During a search of their residences in Girne, 51 bottles of alcoholic drinks, 49 packs of chocolate, and personal care products suspected to have been stolen were found and seized.
They were brought to court on Monday Feb. 24 on charges of theft.
