Fake Real Estate Scam in Gazimağusa: Attempted £120,000 fraud
An individual posing as a real estate agent and agreed to sell an apartment in Gazimağusa for £120,000 without the owner's knowledge fraudulently obtained £2,000 in cash as a deposit.
According to information provided by the Police Press Office, the incident took place in Gazimağusa on January 7. when one A.U. (M-26) falsely presented himself as a real estate agent despite not being one and agreed to sell an apartment located within a complex in the İskele Long Beach area for £120,000 without the owner's knowledge.
The individual fraudulently obtained £2,000 in cash as a deposit and has been arrested.
