Man sent to prison for sexually assaulting a masseuse at a hotel in north Cyprus

An individual who was arrested for sexually harassing a masseuse in a hotel in in Lefkosa was sent to prison for 15 days pending trial.

The incident happened at around 4:50 PM on January 16 in the spa section of a hotel operating in Lefkosa when the suspect identified only as H.G, a Turkish national exposed his genitals to the female massage therapist.

The suspect who was arrested for sexual harassment was brought to a court in Lefkosa o Saturday January 18.

Police officer who presented the case in court, stated that the suspect committed the offense of sexual harassment on January 16 in the spa section of a hotel operating in Lefkosia by exposing his genitals to the female massage therapist.

The police further explained that the suspect was apprehended at Ercan Airport at around 5:45 PM on the same day while attempting to leave the country.

The police informed the court that the investigation was complete and noted that the suspect was in the country as a tourist, requesting his detention pending trial.

The judge evaluating the testimony presented, ordered the suspect to be sent to prison for a period not exceeding 15 days.
