4 apartments evacuated in Kyrenia due to a landslide in a construction site

A landslide occurred in the basement of a construction building in Kyrenia today leading to the evacuation of four apartment buildings around it due to the danger of collapsing.

Police in a statement on the issues said evacuation procedures are continuing in 4 apartments on Şht Kemal Selim Street in the 20 July Stadium area.

On the other hand, it was also announced that the road was closed to traffic.

“As a result of a landslide that occurred on the basement foundation of a construction under construction on Kemal Selim Street, Şht. in 20 July Stadium Area, four apartment buildings around it are being evacuated due to the danger of collapse. "As a matter of fact, the road is closed to traffic flow," police statement reads.
