Wallet thief detained in Kyrenia

An individual who was found to have stolen a wallet that was dropped on the ground two days ago in Kyrenia was arrested. 

The wallet containing 2,000 US dollars, an ID and credit card was mistakenly dropped by a person in a car parking lot in Kyrenia at around 11.30am on Tuesday, Feb., 27.

In the further investigation carried out after the incident came to the notice of the police, a man identified only as Ö.E., 40 who was considered a suspect in the matter, was identified and arrested.

During further interrogation of the person in question, it was also determined that he stole a mobile phone, identity and credit cards kept in a vehicle in another vehicle parking lot in Kyrenia on November 30, 2023.

The investigation continues.
