Quake measuring 4.4 on Richter scale strikes Nicosia, south Cyprus on Monday

An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck Nicosia, in southern Cyprus on Monday morning.

The quake occurred at about 9:30am in the morning on Monday.

The epicenter of the quake, which did not cause any damage or injuries, was 64  kilometres west of Nicosia, according to the seismological centre.
