18 Syrian refugees found hiding in a forest area in north Cyprus

18 Syrian refugees were found hiding in a forest area between Koruçam and Sadrazamköy during a police search on Sunday.

The search came following the discovery of an abandoned speed boat in Sadrazamköy on Saturday morning after citizens complained of seeing two young refugees who had said they had been sheltering in the forest and that they were hungry.

The refugees between the ages of 16 and 38 years were taken into custody.
