Drunk student attacks security guard with a knife in a dormitory in Gemikonağı

A 25-year-old student under the influence of alcohol was arrested and taken to court for attacking a security personnel who warned him for causing disturbance in his dormitory.

The incident happened at about 12:50am at a dormitory in Gemikonağı on Sunday, May 3.

The accused only identified as O.Ş, a student in the country, was arrested and taken to a court in Lefkosa on Sunday on accusation that he attacked a security personnel and another person with a knife for warning him that he was drinking excessive alsohol and making noise in the dormitory.

Police prosecutor told the court that the accused who was drunk at the time of the incident carried a knife with which he attacked the security personnel.

The court judge ordered the accused to be released on bail pending trial, on condition that he report to the police station 2 days a week and banned from going abroad.
