Six new cases of coronavirus reported in Southern Cyprus
Southern Cyprus on Sunday announced 6 new cases of coronavirus bringing the total number of cases there to 767 including at British Bases.
The new confirmed cases mark the continuous downward trend in cases.
The 6 new cases were reported from 1,803 tests carried out on Sunday.
One of the positive cases was traced to a police station which was disinfected. The case was found as part of the government’s strategy to test 20,000 front-line workers.
Two positive cases were found through contact tracing of confirmed cases and two came from abroad. The sixth case is a cleaner at Nicosia general hospital.
