Presidential election in North Cyprus postponed by 6 months
Proposed presidential election slated to hold April in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has been postponed for six months due to the coronavirus
crisis.
The decision was reached on Tuesday in a meeting of political party leaders chaired by Turkish Cypriot leader, Mustafa Akincion.
The elections originally scheduled to take place on April 26 will show be shifited by 6 months.
It was announced that ‘parliament’ would now launch the necessary procedures to ratify the decision.
