13 New cases of coronavirus confirmed in north Cyprus
13 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in north Cyprus on Tuesday night bringing the total number of cases in the country to 20.
According to the TRNC Minister of Health, Ali Pilli who made the announcement on Tuesday, 39 people were tested but 13 people came out positive.
The 13 new cases concerned 13 German tourists who were being quarantined in a hotel in Famagusta where the first person with the virus stayed.
18 of those infected are German tourists and 2 Turkish Cypriots.
Earlier in the day, 3 cases were confirmed in South Cyprus bringing the total number of cases in south Cyprus to 49 and 69 island wide.
