Yellow Weather Alert for Cyprus: Thunderstorm warning for Friday

The Cyprus Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning for Friday. Isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect the area, the yellow alert said. 

The warning is in force from 8 am to 6 pm on Friday.

Be aware that thunderstorms may occur. Take extra care in exposed areas, like mountains, forest and open terrain. Disruption to outdoor activities is possible, it added.

Low pressure is affecting the area and a low pressure system is expected from tomorrow.
