Man jailed in south Cyprus for trying to sneak drugs into prison in juice box

A 24-year-old man was caught on Sunday afternoon in Limassol, south Cyprus while trying to take drugs hidden in a juice box to his friend in custody.

According to the report by Greek Cypriot daily, philenews, the man arrived at the detention centre carrying a bag with food and juice cartons requesting that they be delivered to his 26-year-old friend held there, but after officers checked the bag they found in a straw inside the juice box methamphetamine weighing 0.5 g.

The man was then arrested for being caught in the act and was put in prison.

Further investigations implicated another individual, a 25-year-old man, who was also arrested.
