Student who stayed illegally in the TRNC for 3 years charged to court
A student who had been living illegally in the TRNC for three years had been brought before a judge at a court in Lefkosa.
The student was arrested and detained in a police raid in Lefkosa last week.
He was taken to a court in Lefkosa on Monday on charges of living in the country without a resident permit.
He came into the country on a student visa in September, 2016 but had not processed or renew a resident permit until he was caught.
He was jailed for three days pending investigation.
