Drunk driver crashes truck on the Çayırova-Bafra highway, north Cyprus
A driver of a water tanker truck driving under the influence of alcohol was injured in an accident on the Çayırova-Bafra highway on Thursday evening after the truck flipped due to reckless driving.
The incident happened at about 7:00pm on Thursday evening on the Çayırova- Bafra main road as the driver was driving towards the Çayırova direction of the road when it overturned due to careless driving.
Police say the driver of the truck, a 40 years old man was reportedly drunk with alcohol.
The truck blocked the road in the process and interrupted traffic.
The driver sustained a slight injury and was taken to the hospital.
